Love is in the air this month. Your favorite stores are fully stocked with cards, flowers, candies and everywhere you look is a sea of red, pink, and white. Since you’re in the loving spirit this month, anyway, Family Dental Choice would like to suggest a few ways to show your teeth some love.

Treat Them To Something Special

This is the perfect time to splurge on something that will help keep your teeth happy and healthy all year round. Have you been thinking of Invisalign, veneers, or whitening? Treat yourself! Always wanted to try a power toothbrush? Go for it! Even a small gesture like trying a new kind of floss might be fun.

Get Music Involved

Are you rushing your brushing? One way to be sure you’re brushing long enough is to play your favorite song while you brush. Whether you’re in the mood for Barry White or Green Day, a little music will help you give your teeth the attention they deserve. Don’t overdo it, though. Two minutes is ideal, so there’s no need to listen to something lengthy like “Bohemian Rhapsody” (seven minutes) or “Stairway to Heaven” (eight minutes).

Give Them Love ALL DAY LONG

Sure, we’re focused on our teeth while we’re brushing and flossing, but what about the rest of the day? Treat your teeth with tender loving care around the clock by avoiding gummy candies, drinking plenty of water to help flush out any microscopic pieces of food that remain, and resist the urge to chew ice, bite your nails, or use your teeth as tools. With a 24/7 kind of love, you’re teeth will be there for you until the end.
If you’re really committed to your dental health, make sure you show your teeth love all year long. A huge part of caring for your teeth involves visiting the dentist at least twice a year, so if you live in the Charlotte area and would like to learn how we can help you care for your teeth, contact our office today to schedule an appointment.
